In 1978 when the first Cavalcade was held in Rushden Hall
Park, the
vehicle's which took part in the event were driven around the town centre to advertise the Cavalcade.
As this proved to be so popular it was repeated the following year and has now become a tradition of the Cavalcade with three separate road runs over the weekend,
starting with the traditional Rushden run on the Saturday morning.
